Etekcity Sends Supplies to Hope for Haiti

On October 4, 2016, Hurricane Matthew, a Category 4 storm, devastated many Haitian communities, leaving many without homes, basic medical supplies, nutrition, and access to clean water. To aid relief efforts, Etekcity has gathered some of the needed supplies requested by Hope for Haiti, a non-profit organization that has directly served Haitian communities for over 25 years, to send overseas.

More than 1 million people require assistance since Hurricane Matthew made landfall in the Caribbean country. Haiti is in dire need of access to clean water and hygiene kits to stop the spread of cholera and other illnesses. Etekcity is donating portable water filter straws which include pre-filters to eliminate 99.9% of waterborne pathogens and bacteria.

As requested by the Hope for Haiti team in their supplies list, Etekcity is also donating portable camping lantern flashlights with a power bank and batteries included. Constructed with military grade materials and 30 LED bulbs, these lanterns will provide luminous light for emergency and volunteer personnel during this time.

Etekcity understands that batteries are also scarce at this time. Hope for Haiti will be receiving Etekcity’s portable rechargeable USB and solar lanterns as a safe alternative for volunteers as they assist patients and children in the dark.
